Welcome to BikeRidesUK.com, a site devoted to recreational cycling around the country. The emphasis is on cycling for fitness and fun - and our eventual aim is to create a network of bike routes throughout the UK that will provide something for everyone, from the serious off-roader seeking a switchback 25-miler to the family with young kids looking for nothing more than a short, flat ride that's traffic-free and not too taxing.

On this site you'll very soon find information about a series of bike rides in Central Southern England - and we'll be adding many more over the coming months.

Of course, it's not just about biking. Each route will tell you what to look out for and where to stop, with information about everything from local watering holes, beauty spots and places of historical interest to fascinating facts about the area's folklore, fables, flora and fauna.

We also want to hear from you about your own favourite routes - and, if you've ever fancied becoming an author, we can help you research, compile and publish your own book of local bike rides.
